Book Review –
The History and Arts of the Dominatrix
By Anne O Nomis
The History and Arts of The Dominatrix is artfully designed with a dark burgundy cover embossed in gold, including a bold title and delightful pictures of Dominatrix tools and attire. The cover itself gives the book an air of distinction and I was impressed from the first page to the last.
The Author, commencing with a briefing on her journey – which began right here in Fitzroy, continues with chapter upon chapter of entertaining and informative literature, photos and illustrations. Some of this information dates back thousands of years to the very first recorded proof of Goddesses who existed in pre-patriarchal times. The book continues a narrative of well researched facts, along with a superb collection of illustrations and photos, some of these illustrations and artefacts dating back centuries, right through to recent photos of some of today’s practicing Dominatrices.
As a practicing Dominatrix myself, I found this book educational and titillatingly inspiring at the same time. It was easy to read and well spoken and obviously well researched. I am guessing there was much passion and determination in completing this exceptional piece of artwork.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who for any reason takes interest in, or is even slightly curious about The Dominatrix.
Congratulations Anne O Nomis
