My Answer would depend.
First timer
For a first timer, the idea of contacting a professional may be a little daunting, especially if you have no idea what you want.
On the other hand, there are those of you who I’m sure have had exciting fantasies, and specific scenarios floating around in your imagination for years.
It’s understandable that when you first discover BDSM, you may want to jump right in and try every activity on a checklist or find out what it’s like in real life after watching clips online.
If you’re completely new to BDSM, I would suggest you take your time and do your research before jumping in. Work out what activities appeal to you.
Finding a provider
Once you have decided which activities you wish to explore, you need to find the provider compatible to your needs.
Keep in mind that providers also have unique skill sets and fetishes.
If you’re unable to work out what fetishes turn you on, finding a provider who appeals to you, and reading their fetish preferences might assist you in creating you own list of activities.
Alternatively, you can trust the provider to create your scenario, with your communicated limits in mind.
Introductory session
An introductory session is always a good start.
This is also opportunity to build connection and trust for future fetish adventures.
In my experience, email correspondence is the least intimidating and most productive way to communicate and express one’s desires.
What I think is important, is for you to be honest and open with yourself, and with the provider you chose to contact.
